Spending Ice Points With Mastercard
Who can I spend Ice points with using my Mastercard?

You can spend Ice points with any retailer that is part of The Ice Loyalty Programme with Mastercard. You can find these retailers when you select the "Mastercard" filter button within the "Collect" or "Spend" category shopping pages of myice.com. All of these retailers also have the Mastercard logo on their retailer page on myice.com.

Please check the retailer’s page on myice.com to check that their website’s are participating.

There are some retailer's in the Ice programme that require a different shopping method in order for you to spend Ice points, you will need to follow the process for spending points as explained on that retailer’s page on myice.com. 

John Lewis & Partners online and M&S online are not part of The Ice Loyalty Programme with Mastercard, but you can spend your Ice points to obtain an online discount code that you can redeem at the retailer’s checkout. Please follow the process on the retailer’s page on myice.com. You cannot spend Ice points in-store with John Lewis & Partners and Marks & Spencer.

How can I spend Ice points when I shop using my Mastercard?

You can spend Ice points with any retailer that’s part of The Ice Loyalty Programme with Mastercard either online or in store. To see a full list please click here.

Once you’ve made your purchase, we’ll contact you immediately by text and/or email to ask if you’d like to spend any points you have.The text message will give you a link to your Ice account; once you have logged in, you can then choose the transaction that you want to spend your points against. Click on the spend link and you can enter how many points you want to spend. You will always receive an email to ask if you’d like to spend any points you have. Click on the link in the email, once logged in, you will be taken to your "Mastercard transactions pending" within your Ice account. 

You can then view the relevant retailer transaction and choose how many points you’d like to spend. Simply click on the spend link and enter the number of points you wish to use to get your Ice discount. 

Once you’ve chosen how many points you want to spend, your Ice discount will appear as a credit on your Mastercard credit card statement. This is only applied after the transaction has been authorised by the retailer and any refund period has cleared.

Why can't I spend my Ice points at the checkout?

When you shop with retailers who are part of The Ice Loyalty Programme with Mastercard, you always spend Ice points AFTER you've made your transaction. 

This means that you can never forget to collect or spend Ice points, because we track your transaction for you, and remind you to spend any Ice points you may have, so you can never miss out on any discounts. Any discounts that you choose to make on your purchase will be shown as a credit on your next Mastercard credit card statement.

How long do I have to choose to spend my points?

You’ll have up to five working days from the date of your transaction. If you don’t choose to spend, you’ll collect points by default instead. Once you’ve chosen how many points you want to spend, your Ice discount will appear as a credit on your Mastercard credit card statement. This is only applied after the transaction has been authorised by the retailer and any refund period has cleared.

Can I spend my Ice points with any Ice retailer?

You can spend Ice points in nearly all of the same places you can collect them. It doesn't matter which way you used to collect your Ice points (e.g. online, with Mastercard etc.), you can spend them where you like. If you want to spend your points with a retailer in the Ice Loyalty Programme with Mastercard, you need to make sure that you shop using your registered Mastercard credit card as instructed on each individual retailer’s page. 

There are a just few retailers where you currently can't spend your points, on things like Insurance, TV, Mobile, Broadband and energy.

If you’d like to check how many existing points you have, take a look on your live points statement in your Ice account (remember to allow for the retailer’s returns period to expire).

Why is my Ice credit not on my credit card statement?

Your Ice credit won’t appear on your credit card statement until the retailer’s refund period has cleared. This varies for each retailer - check the individual retailer’s page to find out more. Please check your Ice account, if the transaction is showing in your live points statement and your Ice credit still hasn’t appeared on your following Mastercard credit card statement, please contact Ice Customer Services at customerservices@myice.com quoting your full name, email address that is registered to your Ice account and home postcode or call 01892 800380.

If I register more than one Mastercard credit card, which one will my Ice credit be issued to?

It will be issued to and appear on the statement of the credit card you used for the transaction with a retailer that is part of The Ice Loyalty Programme with Mastercard.
